An immersive exhibition surrounding the masterpiece, ‘The Virgin of the Rocks’ showcasing the process, the composition, the drawings and plans and ending in a chapel where it was originally designed for as part of an elaborate altarpiece.
The National Gallery was a great place to go to be inspired and remind me why I love classic art. I wandered through the classical portrait section and was reminded of the prominence of nature and femininity in the paintings. I was motivated to explore more paintings from the Renaissance period, which I interestingly discovered was when perspective was first discovered in art.
