This was the first tutorial since I had changed my outcome to a fully written dissertation, so was keen to address my ideas and concerns with Lucy. Lucy suggested I look at scholarly articles regarding research as practice as I still want to include this as part of my methodology and I don’t want to discount the work I have done thus far.
This week I applied for EC, which I was granted, so I now have an extension of a month to finish this project – I will update my project timetable accordingly.
I spoke to Lucy about the structure of my essay and she reviewed the parts I thought were appropriate to use from the critical reflection I had been writing. Lucy stressed the importance of definitions in my essay, as I am talking about ‘beauty’ and ‘identity’ which are both very broad themes.
We also spoke about the possibility of a case study and structuring that after my initial literature review, as the research methods will now be a significant section of the study.
