This is my first experimentation with the TouchMe device, I used citrus fruits and styled the shoot as a still life installation, like my prior experimentation. The citrus fruits are a reference to Affect theory and this practice-based research has really helped join aspects of this project together. Allowing the media to become multi – sensory and dealing with themes of touch, virtual vs physcial and emotion.
I regularly use still life as a form of practice based research and this was a way to communicate natural vs unnatural beauty vs grotesque and the way these dualisms blur.
This is a very suitable way of working for my project and for me in general.
