I’ve been focusing on the methodology this week as that will propel the project forward. I’m contacting people for interviews and have been reading lots of writing about the way in which to do this.
Definitely semi-structured interviews are the way to go, as this will be more conversational.
This study creates new definitions through the term phygital that could confuse or mislead the participants, for this reason, the questions referred to physical, digital and virtual in order to communicate clearly.
Creswell advises that the research question itself ‘be recognizable as opening an interpretive phenomenological enquiry’ .
Overall, the questions will follow particular enquiries surrounding fluidity between the self in everyday life and the self online, aiming to understand any notions of synergy between physical and virtual space.
