Re-visiting Lucy McRae has made me realise how much I love work that can be slightly gross, I am going to plan some practice-based research at some point, I feel inspired!

I resonated with her exploration of the merging of biology and technology – with her ultimate aims being to redefine the body as we know it. Her project entitled, ‘Biometric Mirror’ aligns well with my Research Project, it is an immersive installation, where she collaborated with a Hollywood Plastic Surgeon. The ‘sci-fi beauty salon’ analyses faces for conventional attractiveness – questioning algorithmic perfection, and the dangerous potential of our digital future.
