Dazed Media.

I love Dazed as a company and the deeper I get into my project and personal research interests, I realise that they align with my vision very well (constantly evolving and exploring new boundaries of fashion, beauty and media in an intersectional, collaborative and sustainable way).

I have been looking at their features on their platforms and A Future World is a radical imagining of what our planet could be and a look at the state it’s in, through the eyes of inspirational teenage activists, film stars, designers, musicians, and climate experts. Each day is split into themes (justice, sex & gender, culture, health, tech, and earth), with the issue of climate change threaded across them.

Lots of articles on the climate crisis, sustainability and technological innovations to help combat this and an Interesting interview with Marina Abramovic about her latest VR work. I’m still thinking that VR will be too gimmicky for what I am trying to convey but the interview is interesting and I have linked below to reference again.

The Dazed Beauty Digital Spa is something I came across after I had presented my pitch for DC&S and was the reason I had to change the working title of my project. The features are separated into different categories; QUIZ, READ, WATCH, LISTEN which is quite immersive. There is a lot of references to wellness, which is very interesting for my work and I will refer back to these articles throughout my research.
