Now that I have established a loose research question; With a specific focus on the fourth industrial revolution, explore the evolving parameters of beauty and identity construction, asking how could human senses be experienced in a virtual space? I decided to further break down the themes and ideas I had been working with and establishing the link between my themes, as Lynsey suggested.
I also began to ask myself questions, a main one which kept coming up was ‘What is the link between identity and beauty?’
I also made a list of ideas I didn’t want to deal with, as Lynsey suggested which included: beauty standards and mental health effects, not focusing explicitly on new ways of fashion showcasing.
This was very helpful for me as it helped me refine my ideas and understand the link between them alot more – I also will now be able to shorten my research question and construct my aims and objectives.
