Element of ‘the other’ for example: we will see a hand holding a spray bottle to apply serum to the users face etc.
Continuing on the theme of the other, multiple versions of the user will fill the viewing platform in a ‘spectating of the self’ and the user will be faced with versions of themselves.
Plastic vs floral will be a strong visual element – higlighting natural and artificial within beauty – as well as and reinstating the separation of the space and the ‘other’ with murky outlines of figures.
The set will be a surreal and minimal kind of medical spa, with the inclusion of curtains, and swivel chairs. I also plan to introduce a neon element, inspired by pharmacy signs and video games. This will also make the set seem more immersive and impactful.
