This piece of experimentation was an exploration of the idea of ‘blue face’ caused by blue light shining off the phone screen. This is something I have been exploring for my essay and I will develop the concept further. I found it fascinating when I learnt that sun screen has been developed to protect us from these blue rays!!!

The introduction of the front facing camera phone in 2010, marked a pivotal moment in the way we see ourselves. This revolutionary type of portraiture, only five inches high and taken at no more than an arms-length away, was unlike the representations and reflections we were used to. Immediate and intimate, females were given the power of becoming both the subject as well as the photographer, providing them with a revolutionary amount of control over their own image.
