These images really really inspired me. I’m very interested in the boundaries between porn and fashion and have explored this for years. The idea of fetish and abjection was something I touched upon and I very much believe this situates the idea.
The craftsmanship and set design that Jo Broughton has captured here are fascinating. In the 1990’s porn would be shot on film and as it was pre internet, it was way more dramatised.
The thing that strikes me is the humorous theatricality! This is definitely something I want to explore further.
