Although I initially entered this unit thinking about the collaborative aspect of music videos, my research has deviated away from this and I am focusing more on concept and strategy development whilst exploring audience and my own personal aims and objectives. That being said I am still inspired by music videos and Solange has always been an artist who’s visual work inspires me. I feel that this is what is missing from music videos, concepts, costume, character, political and cultural themes. If I were to create a music video it would be to collaborate with an artist and create a visual album like this.
