I’m very interested in the pilgrimage that Catholics take to Lourdes, located in a tiny French village it is said to be where The Virgin Mary appeared to Bernadette. I was raised Catholic and am fascinated by the religion, although I don’t follow it, the theatricality and ritualistic aspects of religion, particularly Catholicism feed into my practice.
In Lourdes the holy water is thought to be blessed and possess healing powers.
