This Experimental Film will focus specifically on water as a representation of cleansing and re birth. I have always found empty swimming pools to be completely compelling so I wanted to shoot the film in a large swimming baths. The concepts the film will explore include, rituals, the body, beauty ideals, femininity, the monstrous / alien woman, representations of private / public space and identity. The film will focus on one female model, who will perform a subtle type of striptease at the poolside, removing her oversized outerwear to reveal her skintight garments underneath; then diving, swimming and floating in the pool. The music will be inspired by Pipilotti Most Films and be a mixture of specifically composed piano and abstract vocals, complimenting the visuals.
